Dear Members of the Harvard Club of Dallas,
This m onth, I write with enthusiasm and pride to highlight a remarkable opportunity for our Harvard alumni community across North Texas and throughout the state to make our voices heard in Cambridge. The Harvard Alumni Association (HAA) elections are underway, and our own Theresa Chung (AB '98, JD '02) has been nominated for election to the HAA Board of Directors. It is my honor and privilege to strongly endorse Theresa's candidacy and to encourage each of you to vote in this important election.
As you know, Theresa served as President of the Harvard Club of Dallas immediately before me, and I have seen firsthand her exceptional leadership and commitment to our alumni community. Under Theresa's stewardship, our Club flourished, growing in membership, engagement, and meaningful programming. Her passion for Harvard and her dedication to fostering connection within our community have left a lasting impact.
The HAA Board of Directors serves an essential advisory role, working to strengthen global alumni connections, develop volunteer leadership, and create inclusive communities across Harvard’s worldwide alumni network. Given Theresa’s deep experience in building engagement here in Dallas, coupled with her professional expertise as an administrative judge and certified mediator, I can think of no one better suited to represent the unique perspectives of Texas alumni on this global stage.
Theresa’s vision is clear—she seeks to bridge and strengthen ties between the vibrant and growing Harvard community in Texas and the broader University network. I know Theresa will champion initiatives that deepen our connections, promote thoughtful dialogue, and advance the inclusive community-building mission of the HAA.
Voting in the HAA election runs from April 1 to May 20, 2025. Eligible voters will receive an email from “Harvard 2025 Elections” (harvard@electionservicescorp.com) containing your personalized voting link. Last year, over 70% of votes were cast electronically—please check your inboxes and make your voice heard! You can learn more about Theresa and all of this year’s candidates by visiting the Harvard elections website by clicking here.
Your vote matters greatly. I encourage you not only to vote for Theresa but also to urge your fellow alumni throughout North Texas and the broader Texas region to participate as well. Let's ensure that our collective voice and Texas spirit are well-represented at Harvard.
Thank you for joining me in supporting Theresa Chung—an extraordinary leader, dedicated alumna, and true friend to the Harvard Club of Dallas.
In fellowship and gratitude,
David Roosevelt AB'93
