Shared Interest Group (SIG) Info
Shared Interest Groups, or SIGs, are created to bring together our members with similar interests. For foodies to entrepreneurship, the Harvard Club of Dallas encourages and supports the creation of SIG's among our members.
If you are interested in starting a new SIG, please reach out to our club administrator. email@example.com. We would love to hear from you!
Current SIG’s include:
The Arts SIG caters to the cultural interests of club members, by offering a variety of artistic events and activities. From theatrical performances and classic films to private museum tours and visits to artists' studios, the Arts SIG indulges in venues throughout the Metroplex. The Arts SIG is always looking for fresh ideas, and members wishing to organize an event. Contact Ben Loeb for more information. firstname.lastname@example.org.
The book SIG discusses a variety of books and genres at monthly meetings. Contacts: Lee Loewenstein or Adrienne Dominguez for more information. email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Dallas Explorer's SIG
The Explorers club is a joint effort between the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Clubs of Dallas. It was created as a way to explore the world through our local restaurants, and to better acquaint ourselves with our dynamic and growing global city. Contact Marla McDonald for more information. email@example.com.
The Entrepreneur’s SIG seeks to educate our members on the key factors required to be a successful entrepreneur. We explore different business models and expose our members to some of DFWs most successful entrepreneurs. Contact Brian Buffington for more information. firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Finance SIG seeks to engage members across the spectrum of Finance and Investments. Amidst DFW rapidly becoming the 2nd Wall Street, we will host frequent events with speakers and networking. Contact Philip Blazek for more information. email@example.com.
Food and Wine SIG
For all foodies and oenophiles! Join the group for some fun food and wine-tasting events! We are open to new ideas! Contact Ray Loggins for more information. firstname.lastname@example.org.
Harvard Athletics SIG
The Harvard Athletics SIG (aka "Harvard Beats Yale!") brings together fellow sports enthusiasts to watch Harvard games (including "The Game") at local sports bars alongside the opposing team's local alumni club. Contact Ray Loggins for more information. email@example.com.
The Writing SIG offers club members a chance to share their creative writing. Nancy Churnin, an award-winning children's book author and former journalist, will moderate a supportive place to encourage the development of works-in-progress. Contact Nancy for more information. firstname.lastname@example.org.
