The Book Club will next meet on Wednesday, August 13, 7:30 p.m., hosted by Marisa Medina. We will discuss A Swim in a Pond in the Rain: In Which Four Russians Give a Master Class on Writing, Reading, and Life, by George Saunders, who teaches a class in the Russian short story at Syracuse University.  Paired with iconic short stories by Chekhov, Turgenev, Tolstoy and Gogol, Saunders teaches how fiction works and why it’s so relevant today. RSVP to Marisa below. If you’re new or forgetful, ask her for her address.

The Book Club generally meets on the second Wednesday of each month. For those who like to read ahead, our September book will be All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker.
