Art Circle SIG:

The Warehouse Dallas Art Foundation

Join us for a art-circle-june-2025private guided tour of the newly reimagined Warehouse Dallas Art Foundation, a nonprofit initiative founded in 2024 by collectors Howard Rachofsky and Thomas Hartland-Mackie. This dynamic institution is dedicated to public education, curatorial innovation, and expanding access to contemporary art in Dallas.

The Warehouse builds on decades of cultural philanthropy—particularly the Rachofskys’ longstanding support for the Dallas Museum of Art, where their acclaimed collection and architect-designed home have been pledged as a transformative future gift. Now, with the addition of the Hartland & Mackie / Labora Collection, the foundation embodies a multi-generational commitment to making world-class art accessible to the public.

As part of our visit, we’ll experience Double Vision, the inaugural exhibition at The Warehouse, which places the Rachofsky Collection and the Hartland & Mackie / Labora Collection in dialogue for the first time.

Exhibition Highlights:

  • Artworks by Carroll Dunham, Wade Guyton, Marguerite Humeau, Dana Schutz, and Calvin Marcus, each presented through focused, thematic galleries.
  • Howardena Pindell’s monumental Untitled (Reflections) (2022), a 29-foot reinterpretation of Monet’s Water Lilies, co-acquired by both collections as a symbolic anchor for the show.
  • A special installation by Rashid Johnson, featuring his work High Time (2020) alongside postwar Japanese, Italian, and Korean masterpieces from the Rachofsky Collection.
  • Large-scale, immersive pieces by Elaine Cameron-Weir and Marguerite Humeau, first shown at the 2022 Venice Biennale.

Double Vision is a bold curatorial statement about generational vision, collecting as dialogue, and the evolving role of art foundations in civic life.

We look forward to sharing this exclusive and thought-provoking experience with you.
