The March meeting of the Book Club will be on Wednesday, March 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Susan Bowman (13358 Meadowside Dr., Dallas, 75240, Dallas). We will discuss The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace, by Jeff Hobbs. “To read The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace, a meticulous and heartfelt account of a brilliant black student from the poverty-stricken streets of Newark, is to see the best of the American dream lived and ultimately, tragically, lost.” For the April meeting, we will read Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis, by J. D. Vance Please note that the Book Club generally meets on the second Wednesday of each month, but the March meeting will be on the third Wednesday.
