Harvard Book Club November Meeting

The November meeting of the Book Club will be on November 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Susan Bowman (13358 Meadowside Dr., Dallas, 75240).  in keeping with Veteran's Day, we will discuss The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, by Daniel James Brown.   “Centered around the life of Joe Rantz—a farmboy from the Pacific Northwest who was literally abandoned as a child—and set during the Great Depression, The Boys in the Boat is a character-driven story with a natural crescendo that will have you racing to the finish.”  The book for the December 9 meeting will be Two Years Eight Months and Twenty-Eight Nights: A Novel, by Salman Rushdie. Please note that the Book Club generally meets on the second Wednesday of each month.
