Biotechnology in North Texas

In recent years, North Texas hasn't been generally recognized as a powerhouse center for the biotech industry. We fall behind other well-known areas such as BioTech Bay (San Francisco), Biotech Beach (S California), Genetown (Massachusetts), etc...

Texas is on this list, but it's often Houston and Austin that are recognized. That being said, North Texas is headed in the right direction, particularly with the bright star of UTSW and the recently announced BioLabs location in Dallas. "Objective third parties are taking note. In an October 2020 life science cluster report by CBRE, DFW was ranked 6th on a list of top ten emerging life science clusters in the U.S"
