story-of-a-new-name

The January meeting of the Book Club will be on Wednesday, January 12, at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Connie Vecellio. We will be discussing the novel, "The Story of a New Name," by Elena Ferrante. This is the second in Ferrante's Neopolitan novels, in which she vividly describes the relationship of two women in a neighborhood of Naples.(For those afraid to dive into the second volume of a series, the book begins with an index of characters and key events from the first book, "My Brilliant Friend.")

Please RSVP to Connie Vecellio at  cvecellio@aol.com if you plan on attending. Connie will provide her address to any newcomers.

The Book Club generally meets on the second Wednesday of each month. For those who like to read ahead, our February selection will be "Bullet Train," by Kotaro Isaka.
