Disruptive emerging technologies such as 5G networks, distributed ledgers (blockchains), and artificial intelligence/machine learning systems are already creating new legal challenges--and opportunities--for an ever-widening range of industries. Simultaneously, US intellectual property law itself is rapidly changing in ways that have major implications for technology businesses.
