The seemingly forever-promised Trinity River project, at last, has a new and exciting leader: Michael Ablon. Recently tapped by Mayor Mike Rawlings, he will spearhead the local government corporation tasked with building a park between the levees of the Trinity River.
In his talk to the Harvard Club, Michael will help us to better understand the historical context of how the Trinity River basin reached the state it is currently in, the nuances of what will be required to bring the city together to move forward, and the current plans for next steps.
Michael Ablon is a founding partner of award-winning PegasusAblon, a multidisciplinary developer and investor focused on the integration of emerging markets and evolving demographic trends. Among other projects he led the redevelopment of the Dallas Design District from a warehouse/showroom district of the 1950's-1970's into the vibrant neighborhood it is today, while maintaining the history, vibe, and character of the district's past. Michael Ablon received his Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Architecture degrees at the University of Texas at Austin and earned his Master's degree from Harvard University.
