The June meeting of the Book Club will be on Wednesday, June 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Susan Bowman (13358 Meadowside Dr., Dallas, 75240). We will discuss My Brilliant Friend, by Elena Ferrante. “Soon to be an HBO series, book one in the New York Times bestselling Neapolitan quartet about two friends growing up in post-war Italy is a rich, intense, and generous-hearted family epic by Italy’s most beloved and acclaimed writer, Elena Ferrante, “one of the great novelists of our time.” Please note that the Book Club generally meets on the second Wednesday of each month, but the June meeting will be on the third Wednesday. And for those who like to get a head start, the July book will be Red Harvest, by Dashiell Hammett.
